The father suffered a heart attack a few years ago and has not worked since. The mother’s wage carries NINE people — SEVEN of them children. Nothing was ever set aside for a wedding.
They are short 30,000 ₪, and it must be in hand before the חופה.
They did not come forward easily. They are not asking for a grand שמחה — only to stand beside their מחותנים and bring their daughter to the חופה with dignity.
