Everything happened so fast, and now I am a widow left standing in the ruins of a once-full life. My husband was a healthy man until a sudden, agonizing illness ravaged his body for eight months; I never left his side, watching him suffer until he was finally taken from us. Now, I am left alone to care for 14 children, with nine still at home, all of them terrified and lost without their father’s presence.
For years, we lived in extreme poverty, scraping by in a tiny, neglected apartment while my husband worked tirelessly just to provide the bare minimum. Today, our home is literally falling apart the walls are crumbling and the conditions are barely livable but we have no income and no one to turn to. We are drowning in debts from the months of illness and I am struggling to be strong for my children, who are too traumatized to even return to a normal routine.
I am turning to you because I simply cannot survive this alone. I am asking you to stand with me so I can provide food for my orphans, repair our broken home, and give my children the support they need to heal from this tragedy.
