Dear brothers and sisters,
My wedding is tonight!, and my heart overflows with joy and gratitude to ה' for the wonderful man He has chosen for me to marry. Yet, my happiness is clouded by worry.
My dear father, almost blind from a worsening eye condition, cannot help me pay for the wedding. He never asked anyone for money, always working any job to support us, but now his medical condition has made that impossible.
Where will my help come from?
I appeal to your compassionate hearts: please have mercy on a בת ישראל who wishes to walk to the חופה with dignity. I am not asking for luxuries, but I lack even the basic necessities for a modest wedding.
ה' promised, "כל המשמח את שלי, אני משמח את שלו." ("All who bring joy to My children, I will bring joy to theirs.")
Please help me pay for the wedding and bring joy to my heart. I will, בלי נדר, daven for you at my חופה.
