For about a year and a half my mother suffered terribly from cancer. I accompanied her to almost every appointment and various treatments hoping that she would recover, but she unfortunately succumbed to the disease and was niftar.
She left over a large family of 11 children.
She was a huge baalas chesed.
Many abandoned children who did not have a place to sleep or food to eat were welcomed by my mother. She gave them a place to sleep and a hot meal daily.
My mother did not have the opportunity to witness me getting engaged to my chosson.
Words cannot describe the pain that my father endured. He also accumulated heavy debt from her treatments.
I bitterly ask myself: How will I go to the chuppa without her assistance? I do not know. I have no monetary and emotional support whatsoever!
My father cannot help me financially.
I have nowhere to turn!
